Right next to the valley station of Gipfelbahn Fulseck cable car in Dorfgastein, you’ll find GASTI’s sunniest snow park – a spacious practice area offering ideal conditions for first turns in the snow. Across 17,400 m², beginners learn how to ski in a fun and safe way with four magic carpets and the particularly beginner-friendly Rauchleiten platter lift. The two local ski schools teach according to the Best2Learn Ski amadé standards, using modern, child-friendly teaching methods. From the snow park, the Gipfelbahn Fulseck cable car takes you straight on to GASTI’s Family Line, a safe, kilometre-long blue slope leading from the mountain station down to the middle station. This is where newly learned turns can be practised and refined at a relaxed pace, accompanied by mascot GASTI, who guides guests of all ages safely down the mountain. All of this makes Dorfgastein one of the most family-friendly ski resorts in the region.

In the idyllic Angertal valley near Bad Hofgastein, families can look forward to one of the largest children’s and beginner areas in the Alps. Across 35,000 m², families enjoy stress-free skiing – from mastering their first turns all the way to creating their own Skimovie video. Modern lift facilities, gentle conveyor belts and playful learning elements provide ideal conditions for a relaxed start to skiing. Indoor and outdoor play areas, a winter sports zone and the GASTI children's hut add extra variety away from the slopes. Ski schools and rental equipment are available right on site and can be conveniently booked online. More advanced family members benefit too: the Stubnerkogel-Schlossalm ski area opens up many additional kilometres of slopes as well as excellent rental, service and dining options.
