The Kaiser-Wilhelm-Promenade begins to the right of the parish church in Bad Gastein. The bust of Emperor Wilhelm reminds us of the prominent guests this valley welcomed in the past. Promenading here back then was the high society of its day – eager to see and be seen. Pavilions and lookout platforms are relics of those summer getaways of the rich und famous. The view of Bad Hofgastein is fascinating. Be sure not to forget some food for the squirrels along the way, who might well eat the nuts right out of your hand!
