“The forest encourages listening,” said Hermann Hesse once, and it seems only fitting for a small ensemble from the Salzburg Philharmonic to set out to bring the forests of Gastein to sound together with music lovers. Works by Bach, Pachelbel, Mozart, Haydn, Grieg, Bernstein, and many other composers are on the program. The atmosphere among firs, spruces, and larches, crackling branches, and rustling treetops is intense, the ambiance intimate and full of inspiration.
Arrival: Starting point is the parking lot/bus stop at the Angertal Ski Center. Cross the bridge over the Angerbache to the left of the ski center building, then follow the signposts to the destination. (Walking time approximately 30 min)
