There, he befriends Hannah, a Jewish girl, and Georg, a cheerful shoeshine boy. Together, they become entangled in an exciting criminal case they are determined to solve. Along the way, they uncover even more secrets.

Gradually, Karli begins to realize that a dark shadow hangs over the world of his new friends.
