As a certified “Genussbike-Region” (which loosely translates to “pleasure-filled biking region”), the Gastein Valley is a true paradise for avid cyclists and bikers. In Dorfgastein, the Fulseck stands out with its countless mountain biking options – and the valley boasts a variety of cycling routes for every taste and skill level.
At 2,033 metres above sea level, Fulseck’s summit serves as the perfect starting point if you want to tackle the exhilarating Großarltal single track. To get there, you can take your (e-)bike up the mountain by cable car. You’ll have the option to choose between a single ticket for one ride or a day ticket for unlimited trips up the mountain that day.
Please note: The maximum weight of (e-)bikes that can be transported in the gondola is 22.8 kilogrammes, including the battery.
The single track starts at the Panoramabahn mountain station in the Großarltal valley – accessible via a signposted mountain bike route from Fulseck. From there, the ten-kilometre MTB single track descends a thrilling 960 metres. Alternatively, you can also hit the trail coming from Großarl by first taking the Kieserlbahn and then the Panoramabahn to reach the starting point.
