Arrival in the idyllic village of Dorfgastein
Dorfgastein in beautiful Salzburger Land is characterized by ideal transport connections - including a wide range of mobility options. Whether you arrive by car or environmentally friendly by train: The journey can be organized smoothly and sustainably. The local hiking bus in summer and the ski bus in winter make it easy to get around.

Directions by Car
For guests arriving by car, Dorfgastein is easily accessible via the nearby highway and state road . From Vienna, Dorfgastein can be reached quickly and easily via the A1 and A10. From Munich, you can take the A8 and then the A10. From both directions, you must exit the highway at the Pongau/Bischofshofen interchange.
There are plenty of parking spaces and charging stations for electric cars available at the Dorfgasteiner Bergbahnen parking lot, as well as throughout Dorfgastein. This makes it easy to get to the town center or to the wide range of recreational and leisure facilities.
Arrival by train
Dorfgastein is located on the Tauern railway line and is perfectly integrated into the rail network.

By bike
Fulseck is easily accessible by bike from anywhere in the Gastein Valley. The valley bike paths through the Gastein Valley provide a direct connection between Dorfgastein, Bad Hofgastein, and Bad Gastein.
Dorfgastein is also located along the well-known Alpe-Adria Cycle Route and is part of the cycling route through the Salzburg region heading south, making the area attractive for multi-day cycling tours.
Located directly at the valley station of the Fulseck Summit Cable Car are:

Out and about by bus in Dorfgastein
The local bus service in Dorfgastein 571 & 572 is well organized, so you can leave your car at home. In winter, the ski bus goes directly to the valley station of the Fulseck summit lift. Day guests arriving by train from Salzburg use the service to get from the train station to the lifts.
- Bus routes 550, 553 and 554 take guests from A to B in Gastein all year round.
