On site, the local hiking bus in summer and the ski bus in winter make getting around a breeze.
For guests travelling by car, Dorfgastein is readily accessible via well-maintained motorways and roads. From Vienna, you can travel to the charming resort via the A1 and A10 motorways. Coming from Munich, you would use the A8, followed by the A10. Exit at the Pongau/Bischofshofen junction from either direction.
Ample parking is available on site, ensuring easy access to the town centre and its various leisure and recreational amenities.
Located along the Tauern railway line, Dorfgastein enjoys superb rail connectivity. Direct train connections are available from Eastern Austria, Germany via Salzburg and Italy via Villach. The Dorfgastein train station is a mere five-minute ride from the town centre and can be reached quickly by public transport or taxi.
The local bus service in Dorfgastein 571 & 572 is well organised, so you can leave your car at home or at the hotel. In the winter months, the ski bus directly services the Gipfelbahn Fulseck valley station. Day guests travelling by train from Salzburg like to use this option to get from the train station to the cable cars & lifts.
Bus route 550, 553 and 554 takes guests to selected locations in Gastein all year round.
