Deep in the snowy Hohe Tauern National Park
A Culinary Winter Journey in Gastein
In the picturesque Kötschachtal in Bad Gastein, you will be offered a special culinary experience during your winter vacation. Wrapped up warm, a guided small group makes its way to the Himmelwandhütte, where you warm yourself with punch and mulled wine at the fire bowl before an appetizer made from regional products is dished up.
The tour continues by horse-drawn sleigh through the snow-covered landscape to the Alpenhaus Prossau. Once there, seasonal delicacies are served as the main course. Afterwards, dessert sweetens the evening before the horse-drawn sleigh ride back to the starting point. This unique winter journey is rounded off by the musical sounds of local brass bands.
