Frequently asked questions about attending events during COVID-19:

What must I be aware of when attending events?

Please pay attention to the following important hygiene precautions:

  • Keep your distance! Maintain a distance of at least 1 m, though ideally 2 m or more between you and others. Especially in entrance areas, be mindful of social distancing.
  • Avoid physical contact! Avoid hand contact, shaking hands, hugging etc.
  • Maintain respiratory hygiene! If you need to cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a paper handkerchief and dispose of it immediately. If no handkerchief is available, sneeze or cough into the crook of your arm, not into your hands.
  • Wash your hands! Clean your hands regularly and thoroughly with water and soap or disinfectant.
  • Wear a face mask covering mouth and nose! Exception: if you are using specially designated seating.
  • Use disinfectants! Use disinfectants provided by the event organizer at the event location.
  • Avoid gatherings of people! At places where people might gather (entrance area, WC, …), please maintain a minimum distance of 1 m. Pay attention to the markings!
  • Only sit in assigned seats! Every attendee is assigned a numbered seat. Please use this seat only for the event in question.
  • Leave the event in orderly fashion! After the event, attendees are given verbal instructions on how to leave the event space appropriately – you will be asked to leave one row at a time, thereby making it easier to maintain physical distancing.

Is it possible to reserve seating for events?

Due to limited seating at many events in Gastein this summer, you do have the opportunity to reserve seating. Please contact the event organizer in question for details. Reservations are held for you until 15 minutes prior to the start of the event.

What should I be aware of before attending an event?

Personal health condition:

  • • If you feel ill or have had contact with somebody who is sick, we ask you not to attend the event in order to avoid potentially infecting others.
  • • If appropriate, contact a doctor in order to discuss your symptoms.

What are admission procedures at the event itself?

In order to avoid large gatherings of people, admission to events begins earlier than customary (generally one hour before the event gets underway). For precise times, please contact the event organizer in question. If space allows, multiple entrances will be provided for attendees.

What conditions apply to events with designated, marked seating?

At events with designated, marked seating, you must maintain a distance of at least 1 m from other attendees who do not live in the same household or who are not members of your group. (Groups are restricted to no more than 4 adults as well as their minor children, or to those persons who live in the same household.)

Visitor documentation for contact-tracing purposes in the eventuality of Covid-19 infections: The designated seating is either assigned to a specific person, including their name and telephone number, by the ticketing system, or an attendance list is maintained – including names and telephone numbers – by row or seating block. Registration is obligatory in order to contact-trace and inform affected persons in the event of a Covid-19 infection.

What regulations apply to events without designated, marked seating?

At those events that do not have designated, marked seating, you must maintain a minimum distance of 1 m around other persons who are not members of your own household. The name/telephone number of each person occupying a seat is to be registered. Furthermore, a facemask covering the nose and mouth must be worn prior to taking a seat. If the 1 m distance cannot be maintained, the facemask must be worn throughout the event.

Am I required to wear a facemask if I attend an event?

In enclosed spaces, a facemask covering the mouth and nose must be worn prior to taking a seat. If the 1 m distance cannot be maintained, the facemask must be worn throughout the event.

Why do I have to provide my contact information at the entrance to an event?

If any of the attendees subsequently show symptoms of Covid-19 infection, all attendees can be contacted by the organizers without delay.

How long will my contact information be stored?

Our state health authorities strongly recommend that we collect the contact data of all attendees and save this information for 28 days after the event. After 4 weeks, data privacy laws require us to delete such contact data. This constitutes legitimate data processing in accordance with Art.6 ( 1 ) ( f ) GDPR, since it serves health safety measures for contact persons.

What should I do if I develop symptoms of a Corona infection after attending an event?

If you begin to feel symptoms of a Corona infection after attending an event, please inform the event organizer immediately and contact a doctor. If Covid-19 is suspected, the event organizer will contact all attendees without delay.
