Frequently asked questions about attending events during COVID-19:

What must I be aware of when attending events?

From May 19, concerts may take place again, subject to various security measures. The following applies:

  • An FFP2 mask must be worn when visiting - also in the open air area and at assigned seats.
  • Proving evidence of vaccination or recovery is a negative test result. (You can find all the details below.)
  • It is also necessary to register when visiting.
  • In general, a distance of at least two meters outside of an assigned seat applies. A seat must remain free between groups of visitors.
  • The events can last until 10 p.m. Please find out from the respective organizer whether and under what conditions a planned concert will actually take place.

Which regulations apply to events with assigned seats for up to 50 people?

  • People from different households can form a common group of visitors.
  • There must be a distance of at least two meters between different groups of visitors. If this is not possible due to the arrangement of the seats, at least one side seat must be kept free between the groups.
  • The rules of gastronomy apply to the serving of food and beverages.

What regulations apply to events without assigned seats?

A maximum of 50 people may attend meetings without assigned seats. The serving of food and drinks is not permitted here.

The following applies to visitors:

  • The 3-G rule applies when entering the venue.
  • When visiting, the minimum distance of two meters to people who do not live in the same household must be observed. In addition, it is compulsory to wear an FFP2 mask in closed rooms.

Which regulations apply to events with assigned seats for 51 or more people?

  • There must be a distance of at least two meters between different groups of visitors. If this is not possible due to the arrangement of the seats, at least one side seat must be kept free between the groups.
  • The rules of gastronomy apply to the serving of food and beverages.
  • All participants must wear an FFP2 mask (also outdoors) and provide evidence of a low epidemiological risk (3-G rule).

What regulations apply to events with designated, marked seating?

At events with designated, marked seating, you must maintain a distance of at least 1 m from other attendees who do not live in the same household or who are not members of your group. (Groups are restricted to no more than 4 adults as well as their minor children, or to those persons who live in the same household.)

Visitor documentation for contact-tracing purposes in the eventuality of Covid-19 infections: The designated seating is either assigned to a specific person, including their name and telephone number, by the ticketing system, or an attendance list is maintained – including names and telephone numbers – by row or seating block. Registration is obligatory in order to contact-trace and inform affected persons in the event of a Covid-19 infection.

Which tests count as entry tests and how long are they valid?

  • PCR test by an authorized body (e.g. laboratory): period of validity 72 hours
  • Antigen test by an authorized body (e.g. pharmacy, test street): validity period 48 hours
  • Antigen test for personal use with digital recording: validity period 24 hours
  • Antigen test under supervision in the respective company: only applies to the specific occasion

How is the process at the entrance?

In order to avoid crowds, the entrances to events open earlier (usually one hour before the event begins). You can find out the exact times from the respective organizer. If the space permits, several entrances are available for attending an event.

Do I have to wear a mask when attending an event?

In all public places, the minimum distance of two meters to people who do not live in the same household must be observed. The wearing of an FFP2 mask is also mandatory in closed rooms.

Why do I have to provide my contact information at the entrance to an event?

If any of the attendees subsequently show symptoms of Covid-19 infection, all attendees can be contacted by the organizers without delay.

How long will my contact information be stored?

Our state health authorities strongly recommend that we collect the contact data of all attendees and save this information for 28 days after the event. After 4 weeks, data privacy laws require us to delete such contact data. This constitutes legitimate data processing in accordance with Art.6 ( 1 ) ( f ) GDPR, since it serves health safety measures for contact persons.

What should I do if I develop symptoms of a Corona infection after attending an event?

If you begin to feel symptoms of a Corona infection after attending an event, please inform the event organizer immediately and contact a doctor. If Covid-19 is suspected, the event organizer will contact all attendees without delay.
