Bad Gastein

The Zittraueralm (elev. 1.872 m) is reachable via a simple hiking path from the Stubnerkogel mid station in Bad Gastein.

The rustic Zittraueralm is located at 1872m on the Stubnerkogel in Bad Gastein. The hearty alpine snack with delicious cheese, bacon, Carinthian sausages and buttered eggs is simply a must and there are also a few other delicacies from our own production and home-made spirits. Try the homemade apple liqueur, it's simply something special. For those with a sweet tooth, there are pancakes and other baked desserts on offer (depending on the day) while stocks last.

HOW DO YOU GET TO THE ZITTRAUERALM? The Zittraueralm can be reached from the middle station of the Stubnerkogel cable car via a slightly ascending path in approx. 20 minutes. Alternatively, you can also drive to the mountain station of the Stubnerkogel and marvel at the mountain attractions of the suspension bridge, Glocknerblick and Felsenweg and then hike down to the Zittraueralm.
