Current information on the A10: Due to extensive renovation work between Golling and Werfen, there will be obstructions on the A10 Tauernautobahn until June 2025. The construction site is 14 kilometers long and delays and traffic jams are to be expected due to the fact that only one lane can be used in some places.

Arrival from the south

The ÖBB Tauernschleuse takes you stress-free from Carinthia (Mallnitz) to your vacation region of Gastein in Salzburgerland.

The car transfer trains run every 60 minutes. The short journey time of 11 minutes flies by.

Departure in Mallnitz-Obervellach heading north (every hour at minute 50): first train at 05:50, last train at 22:50
Departure in Böckstein heading south (every hour at minute 20): first train at 06:20, last train at 23:20

Please note that the Tauernbahn car lock will not be available for the duration of the construction work, from November 18, 2024 to July 4, 2025!
