Questions and answers

Which hike should I start my hiking vacation with?

At the beginning it is important to plan a smaller hike first (e.g. Gasteiner Höhenweg) so that you can better assess your own fitness. The demand should be increased from time to time. The decisive measure is not the distance (km), but the difference in altitude to be overcome. Alpine experience, surefootedness and a head for heights are essential for a mountain hike at high altitudes.
