Location of accommodation
The Rainerhof is situated at the entrance of Gastein, in the district Klammstein,
800m above sea level. The centre of Dorfgastein with supermarkets, regional bakeries
and inns is only 2.5 km from the accommodation and within easy reach by car or bus.
In winter, the ski bus takes you to the ski area Dorfgastein within 5 minutes. In
summer, you can explore the valley on the family-friendly Gastein cycle path from
Klammstein to Sportgastein.
Description
Escape the hectic pace of everyday life at the Rainerhof. The farm and the two
spacious holiday apartments are perfect for children to romp around, and nature
lovers can relax and unwind. The apartments have ample space for 1-4 persons and
are equipped with kitchen, combined living-dining room, balcony, separate bedrooms
- double rooms and rooms with two single beds in apartment 4 - and bathroom. In
addition, the Rainerhof offers a comfortable double room with bathroom and
balcony. The hotel's "Jagdstüberl" invites you to spend convivial evenings. On
request, the hosts will be happy to provide fresh bread rolls in the morning. The
Rainerhof is a great experience for families with children. Cows, pigs, chickens, ducks
and cats are looking forward to being fed and cuddled. A special highlight of the
organic farm is the Rainerhochalm at an elevation of 1,750m. During summer, the
mountain hut is open for overnight stays and can accommodate 10 persons.
Gastein in summer
In summer, the Rainerhochalm is also a great starting point for hiking tours, for
example to the Paarseen, two mountain lakes that are within only 30 minutes walking
distance. If you prefer splashing in the water, you can enjoy a warm soak in the
Felsentherme Bad Gastein, the Alpentherme in Bad Hofgastein or the Solarbad in
Dorfgastein.
Gastein in winter
Dorfgastein is a winter lover’s dream. The ski area Dorfgastein is the perfect base to
explore Gastein’s ski areas. The free ski bus takes you directly to the valley station of
the Fulseck cable car. The bus stop is only 50 meters / 2 minutes’ walk from the
accommodation.
