The hike starts at the Grüner Baum car park.

The well-developed path leads steadily, slightly uphill into the Kötschachtal. After about 3 kilometers, the hike branches off onto a path towards Reedsee.
After about 3 hours, the tour reaches its peak - Reedsee. It is a mountain lake that is idyllically embedded in the mountain forest and the backdrop of the surrounding peaks.

After a long rest, you return on the same route.

The Hohe Tauern National Park is a unique natural paradise that is just waiting to be hiked and discovered. Birds can be identified based on their song or flight pattern and there is also the possibility of observing one or two wild animals. Bearded vultures, griffon vultures and golden eagles often circle here. Marmots, chamois, ibex and many other mountain dwellers use this habitat here. Geological and botanical peculiarities always surprise interested hikers.
