Accommodation location
Our Maurachgut organic farm is situated 1,000 metres above sea level and offers you fantastic views of the Hohe Tauern mountain world during your vacation in Bad Hofgastein. Amidst lush green meadows you can enjoy a relaxing time in harmony with nature. In winter, you can reach the skiing piste directly on foot and/or descend right to the Maurachgut with your skis when the valley descent is accessible. The centre of Bad Hofgastein, the valley station of the Schlossalmbahn as well as the Alpentherme thermal spa are all only 7 minutes away by car. You reach a restaurant as well as an inn in winter as well within 10 minutes only on foot. Hiking trails as well as a nature sled run are reachable directly from our house.
Holidays on our farm
Vacation in a family-friendly atmosphere – the historical farm has already been managed by our family for several generations. Whether vacation with children in winter or partner holidays in summer – here with us, there is accommodation for everyone. Our spacious holiday apartments consists of one or two bedrooms, a vestibule with a wardrobe, a bathroom, as well as of an apartment kitchen with a cosy dining corner. In the apartment kitchen you will find a dishwasher, a kettle as well as a baking-oven. On request, we are happy to provide a breakfast basket that we fill with self-produced products, like milk, eggs, teas from the herb garden, home-made jam as well as with healthy juices.
Farm holidays - Chicken, calves, cows, sheep, goats, horses, cats, our mini-pony and rabbit – experience farm life first hand with your children, pet our animals and help with the daily work in the stables.
Winter in Gastein
From the apartment right to the piste – the descent of the Schlossalm skiing area is right around the corner. Fun for young and older guests alike is guaranteed when tobogganing or bobsledding in the Gasteinertal.
Summer in Gastein
In summer Bad Hofgastein is characterised by its numerous alpine pastures that are reachable after longer or shorter hikes. In the evening you can share your vacation experiences having a campfire. The perfect place for recovery in the middle of nature.
