Want to enjoy the beautiful nature of Gastein in absolute peace & quiet? If so, why not give snowshoeing a try? Without sinking into the snow, thanks to snowshoes you will practically be able to march across the winter landscapes of Gastein. All the equipment you need can be borrowed from the Top Rent shop in Angertal or from Sport Schober in Bad Gastein. Be sure to bring along a rucksack with a few drinks, since it's easy to work up a sweat when you are snowshoeing. But the effort also comes with its rewards, not least because this form of hiking allows you to experience nature in its most untouched form. Make your way up through snowy forests and across fields of snow. Once at your destination, you will be greeted by breathtaking views out across Gastein Valley. Relish every second of this special moment, before finally turning back and returning to the valley. A form of outdoor enjoyment definitely not to be missed during your upcoming winter getaway in Gastein!
Never been snowshoeing before?
Want to give snowshoeing a try for the very first time while you are here with us in Gastein Valley? If so, we'd suggest paying a visit to one of the Gastein ski schools. There, you can borrow all the equipment you need and book a tour with a local guide. This will make your snowshoeing expedition a fun, and above all safe experience. Or take part in a guided snowshoe hike with a group. During the winter months, these are offered in Angertal, on the Fulseck and the Graukogel.
