Welcome to GRUBERS in Böckstein, the southernmost town in Gastein!
WINTER: Our idyllic location directly at the high-altitude ski area, in the freeride paradise and in the snow-sure cross-country skiing region "Sportgastein" makes us the ideal choice for all winter sports enthusiasts. The nearest ski area is just a 5-minute drive away, and the ski bus stop for the free ski bus is only 180 meters from our hotel. Upon your return, the bus is also happy to stop right in front of our door.
To relax after a day on the slopes, you can reach the Felsentherme Bad Gastein in just 3 km, and at our reception, our guests can even receive discounted entry on certain dates.

SUMMER: Right outside our door extends the Hohe Tauern National Park with countless walking and hiking trails. We are happy to help you find the perfect trail to the well-deserved snack from our Gastein dairy farmers. For mountain bikers, we have some insider tips ready, as the Gastein Valley offers bike paths from easy to challenging.
In summer, the Gastein Valley offers various swimming opportunities:
- The "Felsentherme" in Bad Gastein (3 km) (Discounted entries at our reception!)
- The "Gasteiner Badesee" in Bad Bruck (9 km)
- The "Alpentherme" in Bad Hofgastein (12 km)
- The "Solarbad" in Dorfgastein (18 km)

Direkt vor unserer Haustüre befindet sich der Nationalpark Hohe Tauern und damit unzählige Spazier- und Wanderwege. Sehr gerne helfen wir Ihnen den perfekten Weg zur wohlverdienten Brettl-Jause unserer Gasteiner Sennerinnen und Senner zu finden.
Für unsere Mountainbiker haben wir einige Insider Tipps parat- im Gasteiner Tal erwarten Sie Bikewege von gemütlich bis schwierig.
