Information about the Event:

On Saturday, 30 August 2025, the 30th Salzburger Bauernherbst in Dorfgastein in the Gastein Valley will be officially opened with a large festival, parade and extensive supporting programme.

Every year, one of the more than 70 Harvest Festival towns across the country opens the Salzburg Harvest Festival. This year it is Dorfgastein in the Gastein Valley. Visitors can expect a first-class farmers' autumn atmosphere:

  • A large festive parade
  • Schnalzer, Schuhplattler and folk dance performances
  • Concert by the traditional music band
  • Traditional craftsmanship at the stalls
  • Culinary delicacies at the Harvest Festival stands and at the inns
  • Varied children's programme
  • Musical entertainment

The event takes place in all weathers. The farmers' autumn in the Gastein Valley gets underway with the opening of the regional farmers' autumn in Dorfgastein. Starting with a mountain mass on the Graukogel, the traditional Böckstein sword dance, "Da Summa is aussi - Hoamfoart is" through to culinary farm hikes and Alpine pasture walks in Sportgastein.
